Bathroom & Kitchen tiling, painting and Garage door

Well Eden Brae have been busy over the past couple of weeks completing the tiling in the two bathrooms, laundry and kitchen. They've also completed painting the house as well as having the automatic garage door installed. I've noticed already that the A/C outlets have been installed and I have been told to expect fitout of the bathrooms this week (Bath, Showers, toilets) Still moving along very well as we get closer and closer to practical completion. From what I can see after this week we will just have the finshing on a lot of small things as well as the electrical, then the floor coverings for the main areas and bedrooms. Still waiting on the correct front door, but I'm sure that this won't be far off. We've started ordering appliances and furniture now in anticipation of a completion timeframe similar to most furniture stores. Can't wait for it to be completed!

Carpentry done, kitchen and bathrooms started

Spoke to the Carpenter over the weekend and he indicated he would be finished by the end of Saturday. I must say, you wouldn't think it, but it makes a huge difference seeing all the skirting, doors, door/window frames on. The only problem we have had with this stage and infact the whole process so far was that for some reason, we have been given the wrong front door. The 1400mm Corinthian door that has been hung has the vertical pattern instead of the horizontal pattern. This is the door we originally chose before we made the post contract variation to change it the the horizontal pattern due to our feeling that the vertical pattern would be too much with the vertical windows on the front of the house. At any rate, I contacted the SS and our Admin person who quickly responded to me and apologised for the mistake and that it would be corrected asap. If this is the only problem we have I will be very happy to say the least!

Gyprock done

Well again it was only a matter of a few days later that I heard from the olds that the gyprock had been completed! I haven't stopped being impressed with the progress so far and both of us are extremely happy with the building process to date! Even though I was away and missed all of the SS's phone calls, he still left me informative voicemail messages that kept me up to date on the progress. Very happy indeed. See below for pics of the competed gyprock. Next is the carpenter with the doors, door frames, window frames and skirting board.

Roof completed, Bricks washed, Electrical and A/C

In the following days the roof was completed (about 2 days) and the bricks where acid washed. This was great as there was apparently a few drizzley days that would now not prevent work happening due to the roof being on. The Actron ducted A/C along with other electrical was also installed at this time along with the gyprock being delivered ready for the interior walls to be started. You can also see in a few of the pictures the electrical wires hanging out of the brick where some of our future lights will reside.
